This beautiful village is steeped in heritage, and the site of some of the earliest settlements in the north west of Ireland. The Cloncha High Cross, a national monument can be found here in the grounds of a 6th century monastery, a site later built upon, and home to the ruins of a 17th century Church of Ireland plantation church.
Another famous Irish landmark can be found here, McGrory's Hotel. A small hotel, bar and restaurant which is more famous for it's music than it's fine food, which is no insult, given that some of the finest Irish and international acts have taken to the stage of Mac's Backroom, McGrory's live entertainment venue, where the atmosphere is electric and the talent incredible.
Culdaff is also the home to an expansive sandy beach, which is hugely popular in the summer time, and Bonagee Pier, where you can avail of chartered fishing trips, search for dolphins, sharks and whales, or just drop a line from the pier itself!
